Cone Beam CT - Middle Ear CBCT

We use a CBCT equipment which allows the study in low dose radiation and very high spatial resolution of the temporal bone structures and the middle ear.

Applications

• Otosclerosis
• Trauma to exclude small fractures, including ossicles
• Sequential osseous alterations such as erosions
• Myringosclerosis
• Evaluation of chronic otitis media sequelae or cholesteatoma
• Pre- and post-surgical evaluation
• Dehiscence of the semicircular canals
• Evaluation of facial canal dehiscence

*Although preferably the CBCT mode is chosen, when one intends to analyse soft tissue pathologies, multi-cut CT is used.
