Pioneer since 1987.

The Radiology Clinical Group João Carlos Costa Diagnóstico por Imagem SA (NIPC: 501 956 727) was created by Dr. João Carlos Costa with his first Clinic at Viana do Castelo in 1987 and began its activity with the techniques of Ultrasound, Mammography and Computed Tomography. Dr. João Carlos Costa was a pioneer in these diagnostic techniques in the district of Viana do Castelo.

Later, in 1994, it started also the Magnetic Resonance technique. At the same time and since the beginning of his practice as Radiologist, he developed and disseminated Interventional Radiology, which is now one of the fundamental valencies of our clinical practice.

In 2003, according to the development strategy previously established, the facilities were changed to the Private Hospital of Viana do Castelo, of which Dr. João Carlos Costa is one of the founding partners.

Today, the group is known as JCC Diagnostic Imaging, it has a team of Radiologists with several different areas of interest, a Cardiologist and a Dentist Doctor in the various clinics in the North of Portugal:

State-of-the-art equipment.

The permanent updating of the equipment and training of Medical Team, has always been a constant concern of the Founder and CEO of this Radiology Group. Indeed the first Clinic at Viana has also been a pioneer in several types of equipment, such as in the Multi-Slice Computed Tomography, as well as in 3 Tesla Magnetic Resonance.

We are proud of being the first Radiology Clinical Group in Portugal to provide the population with access to the Dual Source CT tecnique with state-of-the-art equipment in all areas.
