Interventional Radiology - Foraminal Infiltration

 Foraminal infiltration consists of a minimally invasive method for the treatment of the spinal pain and which may allow a rapid improvement of the painful process.

Those blockagess consist of the injection of medications (corticosteroids and local anesthetics) in some places of the spine, in order to block the painful stimulus originated in the orifices where the nerves that go to the limbs pass.

 

PRECAUTIONS TO BE TAKEN

  • The patient should fast 3 hours prior to the exam.

  • You should buy and bring 1 vial of Depo-Medrol 80 mg.
