Computed axial tomography is a complementary diagnostic imaging exam, consisting of an image representing a section or "slice" of the body.

It is obtained through computer processing of the information collected after exposing the body to a succession of X-rays. Its main purpose is to study the attenuation of an X-ray beam during its passage through a segment of the body.

PRECAUTIONS TO BE TAKEN

  • The patient should fast 3 hours prior to the exam.

  • You should buy and bring 1 vial of Depo-Medrol 80 mg.
